Welcome to nonsenseatl.com. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website operated by The Nonsense Company, LLC (“Nonsense ATL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and your purchase of and attendance at our events. By using the Site or buying a ticket, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site or buy tickets or attend our events.
1. Tickets and Purchases
Tickets to our events are sold through Eventbrite. When you buy a ticket, your purchase is processed by Eventbrite and is also subject to Eventbrite’s Terms of Service and policies. We are not the payment processor and do not store your full payment card details.
Ticket prices are listed on each event page. We use all-in pricing: the price you see includes fees and taxes, with no surprise charges added at checkout. Advance ticket prices may end at a stated time (typically when doors open), after which door pricing applies. Door tickets may cost more than advance tickets and may be subject to a wait or availability at the venue.
You are responsible for providing accurate information at the time of purchase. Tickets are issued to you for personal use.
2. Refunds and Exchanges
Our refund policy is set per event and shown at the time of purchase. Where refunds are offered, requests must be made within the stated window before the event (for many events, up to 48 hours before). Refund requests are processed through Eventbrite in accordance with the policy shown for that event.
We do not offer refunds after the stated cutoff or for failure to attend, except where required by law or in the case of event cancellation as described below.
3. Event Changes, Cancellations, and Postponements
We reserve the right to change event details, including lineup, set times, venue, and other particulars, where necessary. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.
If an event is cancelled, you will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price in accordance with our and Eventbrite’s cancellation procedures. If an event is postponed or rescheduled, your ticket will generally be honored for the new date; if you cannot attend the new date, refund eligibility will follow the applicable policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for incidental expenses you may incur in connection with attending an event (such as travel, lodging, or other costs) if an event is changed, postponed, or cancelled.
4. Age Requirements and Entry
Our events have age requirements that are stated on each event page. Most events are 21 and over, and some are open to attendees 18 and over. Valid government-issued photo identification is required for entry to age-restricted events. If you cannot provide valid ID confirming you meet the age requirement, you may be refused entry, and in that case you will not be entitled to a refund.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the venue, any person who is intoxicated, behaving unsafely, violating venue rules, or otherwise creating a risk to themselves or others, without refund.
5. Conduct at Events
Our one rule: have all the fun you want, just never at the expense of someone else’s experience. Everything below comes back to that.
Nonsense ATL events are built to be safe, welcoming, and inclusive. We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, violence, or behavior that threatens the safety or enjoyment of others. We may remove anyone engaging in such conduct, without refund, and may decline to admit them to future events.
You agree to comply with all venue rules, the instructions of event and venue staff, and all applicable laws while attending our events.
Get off your phone on the dance floor. Texting and being on your phone for extended periods in the middle of the dance floor is antisocial, and it pulls everyone around you out of the moment. If your face is lit up scrolling while people are trying to dance around you, you’re on the wrong side of this. Step off the floor or put it away. There’s more to life than what’s on your phone, it’s right in front of you if you look.
6. Photography and Recording
We photograph and record our events, and we may use that content on our website, social media, and in marketing and promotional materials. By attending an event, you acknowledge that you may be photographed or recorded and that such content may be used by us for these purposes.
If you appear in event content and would like it removed, contact us on Instagram @nonsenseatl or at info@nonsenseatl.com, and we will remove it, no questions asked, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Be here, not behind a screen. The dance floor is for dancing. We love that you want a photo or a clip of your night, grab it and get back to it. But the floor is not a content studio. Long stretches of filming yourself in the middle of a packed room get in everyone’s way. And keep the light on your phone to a minimum, especially while shooting video. Nobody comes to a dark, glittery dance floor to get blasted by your flashlight mid-song. Everyone around you will hate you. What are you doing? Come to dance, be present, and let the night happen.
Filming other people without their consent is not okay. Sometimes our staff will be taking professional photos or video of the room, that’s us, and it’s part of how we capture the night. But pointing a camera or phone at other guests in a creepy, invasive, or predatory way, including filming people without their knowledge or consent, is grounds for immediate removal, no refund, no warning. Everyone here deserves to dance without becoming someone else’s unwilling content, and no one’s fun comes at the expense of someone else’s experience. If someone’s filming and it’s not staff or someone you know, find a staff member and we’ll be there to sort it out.
7. Song Requests
Kimber loves a good request, and a great suggestion at the right moment is part of the fun. Some nights she’s open to requests; other nights she’s locked into a set and steering the room somewhere specific. If it’s a no-request night, there’ll be signs letting you know. Otherwise, she doesn’t bite, just come up and say hi.
A little etiquette goes a long way:
- Read the room. The best requests fit where the night already is.
- Ask once, then let it go. She heard you. She’ll work it in if it fits.
- Skip the phone wave. A screen across a dark, crowded room is harder to read than you think. Just come tell her, it’s faster and it actually works.
- Don’t hover, and don’t ask three times. It won’t make your song come faster, and it makes things weird.
- No aux cords, SoundCloud links, or plugging your friend’s track. The answer is, lovingly, no.
A tip never hurts, but it’s honestly not necessary. Be kind, be cool, and you’re already doing it right. The same goes for the bartenders and staff, good vibes travel.
8. Mobile Messaging (SMS/Text)
We operate an SMS messaging program through our platform to keep you informed about our events. By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from Nonsense ATL at the mobile number you provide.
How you opt in. You opt in by entering your mobile number on a sign-up form at nonsenseatl.com and checking the consent box, then confirming a one-time passcode we send by text. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing tickets or attending our events.
What we send. Messages include guest-list and event confirmations, event reminders and entry details, and announcements of upcoming events and ticket presales for the brands you opted in to. Message frequency varies and depends on event activity.
Rates. Message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. We do not charge for the messages themselves. Check your mobile plan for details.
Opting out and help. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, which ends all messages to that number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at info@nonsenseatl.com. For assistance you can also reach your wireless carrier directly.
Your mobile information. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Mobile information is used solely to operate our messaging program. Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your carrier and is not guaranteed.
9. Assumption of Risk
Attending a live music event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to loud sound levels, crowds, lighting effects, and physical activity such as dancing. By attending, you voluntarily accept these risks. We recommend taking reasonable precautions, including hearing protection if you are sensitive to volume.
10. Intellectual Property
The content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, the Nonsense ATL name and brands, and design, is owned by or licensed to The Nonsense Company, LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content or brands without our prior written permission, except as permitted for personal, non-commercial use of the Site.
11. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with the Site’s operation, gain unauthorized access to any systems, scrape or harvest data, or use the Site in any way that could damage or impair it.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services (such as Eventbrite, Instagram, and others). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites.
12. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Site, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Nonsense Company, LLC and its members, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or your attendance at our events.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a ticket or event will not exceed the amount you paid for the ticket in question.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Nonsense Company, LLC and its members, officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your conduct at an event.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You agree that any dispute relating to these Terms, the Site, or our events will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Atlanta, DeKalb County, Georgia.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
